Johannes Karst is a cellist and an interdisciplinary performer. He combines cello, voice, movement and sensitivity to express the vibrant colors of life. In his performances he combines his own compositions with free improvisations which can vary from fragile and intimate to absurd and wild. He treats his Cello not only as an traditional instrument but also as a physical body which he dances with through time and space.
