Birds of Passage is a musical meeting of the Turkish based Gabriel Meidinger on violon, accordionist Jonas Malfliet and guitarist Florian De Schepper from Belgium and the Danish-Kurdish singer Luna Ersahin. These four birds of passage met on their musical travels and became friends. On their album they search for a common language, starting from their own traditions and compositions. They find it in nostalgic songs from the North, a Walloon traditional melody with Dutch lyrics, a Turkish-Armenian lullaby, a Syrian song accompanied by jazz pianist Nathalie Loriers, and other surprisingly beautiful combinations.
