Vilma Talvitie – Olio / Alien
Vilma Talvitie is a Finnish singer-songwriter whose nomadic lifestyle has taken her to more than 30 countries, bringing her music to festivals, concert halls, forests, swimming pools, wrestling rings, and other unexpected places around the world. She is best known for her immersive one-woman orchestra concept, Piano Body Percussion, combining vocals, piano, percussion, and body music, while also performing with accordion and guitar. Drawing inspiration from Nordic forests, fairy raves, witches, extraterrestrials, and mythological creatures, Vilma creates a distinctive sonic world where Finno-Ugric roots meet influences gathered through years of travel. Her music moves between delicate intimacy and raw intensity, blending ancient traditions with contemporary expression. Her latest album, Olio / Alien (Eclipse Music, 2026), explores the experience of otherness—the feeling of being a stranger among one's own people while finding freedom everywhere else.
