Alice in WonderBand: The Courage to be Afraid
Alice in WonderBand is a Balkan body music duo. They are a couple living in nature in the outskirts of National park Fruska gora. Ana’s and Marko’s unique lifestyle brings their music in connection with the body and nature. Their performance is vibrating and rhythmic, powerful and energetic, a crossroads of dance, stage movement and music, a deep, primordial experience that takes the audience on a journey through Balkans as well as to the depths of the being. This journey they finish together with the performer, as a singing and clapping community, feeling rooted, grounded and inspired. CPL Music released their first album RikaTaka New Balkan Rhythm in November 2022. New album, The Courage to be Afraid, will be released in 2026. Selected festivals: Trefpunt (Ghent), Balkan Trafik (Brussels), Music Meeting (Nijmegen), Maraton hudby (Brno), World Music Festival Bratislava (Bratislava), Habrovka (Prague). Duo teaches workshops for all age groups and produces New Balkan Rhythm, festival of body music in Sremski Karlovci, Serbia.
